Wudewasa is an ancient Anglo-Saxon word meaning roughly "man of the woods". The Wudewasa is a mythical figure that appears in the artwork and literature of medieval Europe, comparable to the satyr or faun type in classical mythology and to Silvanus, the Roman god of the woodlands. Here in Russia, Wudewasa is known as the Yeti (отвратительный снеговик) (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oLT_CwlB4A). The Tibetan Lepcha culture worshiped the Yeti as a "Glacier Being" or the wild man of the snow-capped mountains.
Every Blog must have a unique name. Because much of what I write about here involves living in remote places and remaining reclusive and hidden from those around us... and because "wudewasa" was a name not yet taken here, it because the name of my blog.
Is the Yeti real?
